D-Day

“All that I wanted were things I had before.
All that I needed I never needed more.
All of my questions are answers to my sins.
All of my endings are waiting to begin.”

Today is the day, folks--D-Day! Decision day, that is. Not my decision. A decision for Turner Publishing. As of 3:47 pm today, it will be exactly 4 weeks ago that I sent Lost Gods to them.  After today, unless I get a positive response from them, I will begin looking elsewhere. Now, they will still have the opportunity to reply, but so will other agents and publishers. The last month has been interesting. It has taught me patience--at least a little. If nothing else, it was a dry run, allowing me to get the nervousness of the first submission out. God has blessed both me and the book greatly and I have faith that he will continue to do so.

Waterboarding. Ha!

I'm giving TP until December 15th to respond. That's next Tuesday.  That's 4 weeks from the day I sent it. After that, I'll be sending query letters out to agents and other small publishers. This waiting game is torture. That's all I'm writing for now.
